Founded in 1897, the then-named Klischee-Anstalt Cl. Jaehde Galvanoplastische Anstalt und Stereotypie focused on the art of letterpress printing at first.
Despite the premises, initially located in Berlin Kreuzberg, being destroyed during the Second World War, the owners managed to reinvent the wheel again and again, continuously focusing on the production of rubber clichés and thus the packaging world.
From 200 entries across 24 countries, U. Günther GmbH together with its sister company Cl. Jaehde GmbH was one of three winners in Europe and the only one in Germany at the Global Flexo Innovation Awards. The specially developed “Impulse Screen” technology offers an absolutely novel flexographic printing result. And for this achievement, they won gold!
The advanced screening in combination with the ecological printing plate raises the printing resolution to new levels. Gradients appear even smoother, colors stronger and therefore more brilliant in appearance, and small images such as the Nutri-Score are now razor-sharp.
“A resolution equivalent to a 70 screen with a 320 screen roller? Such a thing is possible with a conventional setup without having to invest in new anilox rolls. We’d be happy to prove it to you!”
